About Me

Hi, I’m Zahra! I’m a Freelance Illustrator based in London, with a Pakistani origin. Ever since I was little, I’ve always had a passion to draw and as I grew up, that passion only became deeper. I loved it so much that I wanted to make it part of my future career, so I went on to study illustration and I graduated with a BA (Hons) Illustration degree!

I love drawing whimsical, playful and decorative illustrations and designing uplifting and inspiring products to sell. Digital is one of my favourite ways to draw and but I do love trying out new physical mediums, seeing the outcome they give. Both mediums bring me great joy! I seek inspiration from the things I’ve experienced and felt, the places I’ve been to or dream of going, and, of course, the environment around me. And when it comes to my drawing process, I’m all about improvising - making it up as I go. I sketch out a rough idea of what I want the illustration to be and then I get right into it! 

My goal is set up my own small business where I would sell my designs on products such as, art prints, stickers, bookmarks, mugs and more as well as work for companies, such as Disney, Penguin Books, 3D Total and more. And as of now I’m currently working towards making those dreams come true!
